Course Name: Fire Extinguisher
Description: This 2/4- hour class will provide participants with the skills required to use a portable extinguisher in controlling workplace fires in the beginning stages. Number of hours depends on number of people in attendance.
Prerequisites: None
Requirements Met: OSHA Standard on Portable Fire Extinguishers, (29 CFR 1910.157)
Who Should Attend: Any employee who would use a portable extinguisher to put the fire out.


Course Name: Fire Extinguisher Refresher
Description: This course will provide participants with the skills required to use a protable fire extinguisher in controlling workplace fires in the beginning stages. A propane-fueled fire simulator will be used to provide participants with practice in extinguishing live fires
Prerequisites: Initial training in fire extinguishers use
Requirements Met: * OSHA Standard on Portable Fire Extinguishers * OSHA Standard on Employee Emergency Plans and Fire Prevention Plans
Who Should Attend: Any employee who might be the first to discover a fire in its intial stages and would use a portable extinguisher to put the fire out


Course Name: Incipient Fire Fighting
Description: This 24-hour class will provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to control incipient fires using portable extinguishers and low volume hose lines. During the program, participants will extinguish several live fires using a propane fire simulator.
Prerequisites: None
Requirements Met: OSHA Standard on Industrial Fire Brigades, (29 CFR 1910.156)
Who Should Attend: Emergency Response Team members, fire protection officers, security guards, and security supervisors.


Course Name: Incipient Fire Refresher
Description: This 8-hour program provides a refresher to the 24-hour Incipient Fire class. During the program, participants will extinguish several live fires.
Prerequisites: 24-hour Incipient Fire
Requirements Met: OSHA Standard on Industrial Fire Brigades, (29 CFR 1910.156)
Who Should Attend: Emergency Response Team members, fire protection officers, security guards, and security supervisors


Course Name: Inspection and Testing of Sprinklers Systems
Description: The primary focus of this 24-hour program is the skills required to inspect and test water-based fire protection systems. In hands-on workshops, participants will learn how to conduct inspections and tests of the water distribution system. Participants will also learn about the specialty fire protection systems at their facility.
Prerequisites: None
Requirements Met: NFPA 25, Standard on Inspection and Testing of Fire Protection Systems
Who Should Attend: Fire protection officers, security guards, security supervisors, and safety engineers


Course Name: Pathfinder
Description: In this 16-hour program, participants will learn how to assist outside response agencies who are responding to emergencies at the facility. Program content includes company emergency procedures, critical information to provide responding agencies, personal protective equipment required and hazard recognition.
Prerequisites: * Incident Command * Incipient Fire * Hazmat Operations * SCBA * Air Monitoring * First Aid/CPR * Confined Space Rescue
Requirements Met: OSHA Standard on Industrial Fire Brigades, (29 CFR 1910.156)
Who Should Attend: Members of the Emergency Response Team who are responsible for directing and assisting outside response agencies.
